Echeverias are one of the easiest houseplants to grow. They form rosettes of succulent leaves and most spread and readily produce lots of offsets which makes them very attractive if you like to propagate or give baby plants away as gifts. They like good light, usually a sunny windowsill is fine. Don't over water and take care not to let water collect in the rosettes as this can cause rotting. Regularly remove dead lower leaves to keep plants healthy and pest and disease free. We find the best way to grow these is in a shallow terracotta or plastic pot or bowl. This allows them to spread out as they like to do. When plants get too congested just break apart the rosettes and replant the best bits. Use a really gritty compost mix most succulents like this as they like really free draining compost. Just mix about half and half compost and grit or pearlite.

- Exotics/Conservatory & House Plants, Succulents: mostly as young plants in 7 to 9cm (approx. 0.5 litre) or 1 litre pots
- Hardy Perennials, Ferns and Grasses: 1 litre (approx. 12cm diameter)
- Hardy Shrubs and Climbers: 1.5 or 2 litre
The exact size of plants will vary with the growing season and may be cut back in accordance with normal pruning regimes or to fit in the box if they are excessively tall.
