Christmas .....

We will suspend sending mail orders from Wednesday 4th December, starting again, weather permitting,  from 6th January 2025. Orders placed after Wednesday 27th November will be sent after Christmas. Most of our plants are now under cover, dormant and not looking at their summer best, so we encourage you to look at our eGift Vouchers as an alternative.

Collection from the Nursery only

A half hardy tree which in the UK is grown mainly for its beautiful, finely cut foliage. It makes a lovely specimen for a pot.

Mature specimens may produce panicles of blue flowers in spring-summer but plants need to get to a large size in a frost free garden or large conservatory for this to be possible. It’s native to central South America and widely grown in warm parts of the world including the Mediterranean so will need frost protection in winter.

Pot on each year to eventually a large size. Grow in loam based compost with added grit. Min 0°C. Deciduous.
